Our Mission
The Interfaith Homeless Outreach Council (IHOC) is a dedicated nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization committed to transforming lives and fostering a supportive community. Our network is a partnership that unites South Jersey congregations with homeless individuals—men, women, and children—who are seeking to improve their circumstances. Through this collaborative effort, we strive to create an environment where meaningful change can occur.
At the heart of IHOC's mission is the belief in mutual accountability and commitment. Volunteers, case managers, and the homeless individuals we serve enter into a supportive relationship based on trust and responsibility. This partnership is not a one-sided effort but a mutual agreement where all parties hold themselves and each other accountable. This unique approach cultivates a climate of empowerment and transformation.
Our volunteers provide invaluable support, offering their time, skills, and compassion to assist those in need. Case managers work closely with homeless individuals, guiding them through the process of rebuilding their lives and providing essential resources and services. The homeless men, women, and children in our program actively engage in their own journeys of recovery and self-improvement, making personal commitments to change.
The collaborative spirit of IHOC fosters a community where lives are not only changed but enriched. By working together, we create a supportive network that helps individuals transition out of homelessness and into a more stable, hopeful future. Our multi-faceted, communal approach addresses immediate needs while also focusing on long-term solutions, ensuring that the positive impacts are lasting.
